General John Pershing (click to go to Arlington Cemetery link) was our most famous Elk at the turn of the century. Accordingly, the Elks donated $30,000 to furnish a Memorial Hall which was an integral part of a building known as Pershing Hall that is located in Paris France. Unfortunately, there appears to no longer be any reference to this facility which still stands. It can be seen on-line at www.pershinghall.com It appears that comparing the photograph from the Elks Jan 1932 article with the restaurant picture at the above link they are one and the same although.
