Click on these links for more on New York #1 and Buffalo #211. New York #1 is certainly an amazing lodge but Buffalo with it's rich history is quite amazing too. They had some rather fantastic murals that were made by Raphael Beck who was a very famous American artist at the turn of the century. It would be quite a historical find if the large murals he painted were found. Sadly, both of these lodges are essentially gone with #1 merging with another on Long Island while Buffalo ceased to operate many years ago. Also, click on conventions to see Grand Lodge reunion in Buffalo in 1905 and Rochester in 1913.
